Okay, confession time. Before this partnership, my relationship with time was… complicated. My coaches would say "we drop in at 9:00" and I would hear "9:00-ish, after a snack." So when G-SHOCK Indonesia and Casio Indonesia told me they wanted to support me as an athlete, my first reaction was screaming into a pillow (happy screaming, obviously). My second reaction? "Wow. The universe really is trying to make me punctual."
But seriously, I'm SO excited about this one. Huge thank you to the amazing teams at @gshockindo and @casiostore_id for believing in a tropical girl who chose the coldest sport possible. 🇮🇩❄️
Why G-SHOCK Just Gets Me
Let's be real: I fall. A LOT. That's literally the job description of a freestyle snowboarder. You try a trick, you slam, you get back up, you try again. (If you want the not-so-glamorous version, read about my comeback to the halfpipe after a 2-month injury break.)
G-SHOCK watches are built for exactly that energy. They're shock resistant, water resistant, and basically allergic to giving up. Tough on the outside, bold and colourful on the style side. Honestly? That's my whole personality in watch form. When a brand matches your vibe this perfectly, it doesn't feel like a sponsorship. It feels like finding your twin.
And it's extra special that it's G-SHOCK Indonesia. Representing my country is the reason I do all this, so having an Indonesian team in my corner feels like a big warm hug from home (which I need, because Swiss winters are NOT warm).
Meet My Two New Wrist Besties
G-SHOCK sent me two watches, and I'm in love with both. Choosing a favourite is impossible. It's like picking my favourite Stanley mug all over again.

The Surf Girl: G-SHOCK G-LIDE GLX-S5600-7

This off-white beauty is from the G-LIDE GLX-S5600-7 line, which is G-SHOCK's surf and board-sports series. And guys, it has a tide graph and moon data right on the screen. So when I'm back in Bali, I can check the tide before paddling out instead of just staring at the ocean pretending I know what I'm doing.
The best part? It weighs just 41 grams, which is basically nothing, so I honestly forget I'm wearing it until I need to check the tide. It's water resistant to 200 metres, so wipeouts are totally fine (for the watch, anyway... my ego is a different story 😅). It's slim and made for smaller wrists like mine, so it doesn't look like I borrowed my dad's watch. And the bezel and band are made from bio-based resin from renewable resources, which makes my ocean-loving heart so happy, because I kind of need those waves and mountains to stay pretty. 🌊🏔️ Oh, and when I'm standing at the gondola at 7 a.m. and it's still pitch dark? One press and the screen lights up super bright. Total lifesaver.
The Shiny One: G-SHOCK GMA-P2100PC-4A

And then there's the GMA-P2100PC-4A, a.k.a. the reason I keep tilting my wrist in the sun like a magpie. It's a soft rosé pink with a polarized colour dial that shifts and shimmers every time you move it. It's giving disco ball, but make it sporty. ✨
I'm obsessed with the octagon shape. It's that iconic G-SHOCK look, just shrunk down so it actually fits my wrist instead of sliding around like a bangle. It has real watch hands AND a digital screen, and the cutest part is that the hands politely move out of the way when I want to read the screen. Manners! Under all that sparkle it's still a proper G-SHOCK, so it shrugs off my chaos, doesn't mind getting wet, and weighs only 40 grams. It even lights up both the face and the screen, so I can admire the shimmer in the dark too. (Yes, I really do that. No, I'm not sorry.) ✨
It's my go-to when I want my outfit to say "athlete, but fashion." Kind of like my Foot Locker Indonesia Class of Cool era, but on my wrist.
From School to the Gym to the Halfpipe to the Waves
Here's the thing: I'm not one of those people who keeps nice stuff "for special occasions." These watches go EVERYWHERE with me.
📚 School: My school life is a bit different, since I balance pro snowboarding with home schooling. No school bell means I need my own alarms, and now I officially have zero excuses for joining class late. (Sorry, past Zazi. Your era is over.)
🏋️ Gym: At the Laax Freestyle Academy, my coaches love planks, intervals and everything that makes my legs feel like spaghetti. The 1/100-second stopwatch keeps me honest. No more "I'm sure that was a full minute."

🏂 Snowboarding: Cold, snow, hard landings, and the occasional face-plant. My G-SHOCKs have survived all of it like it's nothing. They've already been on the slopes of Laax and they're ready for the whole season. (Speaking of slopes, check out my week at Camp Good Times with Nitro Snowboards in Finland!)
🏄 Surfing: When I swap snow for sand, the G-LIDE gets its moment to shine. Tide graph checked, wax on, let's go. If you missed my summer in the water, here's how I spent it surfing in Kuta, Bali.

Built Tough, Just Like Indonesia's Snowboard Dream
Every time I check my watch now, it reminds me of something bigger: every second of training counts. My dream is to help write history as Indonesia's first freestyle snowboarder at the Winter Olympics, and the clock is literally ticking towards the French Alps in 2030.
Having brands like G-SHOCK Indonesia join my journey (alongside my amazing ROXY family) means so much. It shows that people back home believe a girl from a tropical island can make it in a winter sport. And that kind of support? It's tougher than any watch. Well… almost. G-SHOCK is pretty tough.
Come Along for the Ride!

Terima kasih banyak, G-SHOCK Indonesia & Casio Indonesia! Let's make every second count. ⌚💜
See you on the mountain (on time, for once),
