Hey everyone! I'm still pinching myself, but I'm back from an absolutely legendary week in Levi, Finland. If you've been following my journey, you know how much I love the mountains, but this trip was on a whole different level. I was invited by Nitro Snowboards to join their iconic Camp Good Times, and honestly? The name doesn't even do it justice.
The Nitro Family
Nitro has been supporting me for three seasons now. I've always loved their gear, but this week showed me what the brand actually stands for. It's not just about boards and bindings; it's a global family.
I'll be real—I was by far the youngest one there. I found myself surrounded by professional freestyle and freeride legends from Asia, Europe, and the USA. We're talking World Cup Champions, X-Games medalists, and Olympians. At first, it was a little intimidating, but that feeling didn't last long.
Shredding South Park
We spent the entire week at South Park (South Point), and let me tell you, the level of riding was insane. Watching the pros stomping massive jumps in person is totally different from seeing it on screen. The energy was electric!
Even though I'm only 14, everyone was so encouraging. I spent a lot of time with the other girls on the team, especially Katja Dutu from the Netherlands. We spent hours filming each other's tricks and pushing each other to try new things.
"I really feel like I'm part of something bigger now than just my own quest. It's about the community, the laughs, and the shared love for the snow."
The Best 14th Birthday Ever 🎂
The highlight of the week? I turned 14 right in the middle of the camp! The team went above and beyond to make it special. They got me a birthday cake, the whole crew sang for me, and they all signed a Nitro t-shirt. It is officially the best souvenir I own.
I even managed to snag a selfie with some of my absolute idols: Marcus Kleveland, Iris Pham, and Bryan Fox.
The Dream Team
A massive thank you to Andreas Aurhammer, Knut Eliassen, and Steve Zdarsky for the invite and the constant support. Also, a shoutout to Bob Plumb and the media crew for capturing the madness, and to Anna Puotka Plocinska, who was there capturing footage for the documentary about my journey!
This week taught me that while snowboarding is an individual sport, you're never truly alone when you have a crew like this behind you. I'm heading home with new tricks in my bag, new friends in my heart, and a whole lot of motivation for what's next.
